In partnership with USAID and The Carter Center, the Andrew Young Center at Morehouse is hosting the Democracy Symposium: Pursuing Justice, Security, and Inclusive Development around the World. Challenges to democracy exist around the world, including in the U.S. Thus, it is more important than ever to discuss the threats facing democracy and the role that international development and other organizations can play in fostering resilient democracies. This symposium will focus on these threats and the steps we can take to foster democracy abroad.
Morehouse Political Science Professors Andrew Douglas and Hye Ryeon Jang are featured panelists in the symposium.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in the Massey Conference Center. The agenda includes panel discussions, presentations, lunch, and a career Q&A.
